Overview of Business Insurance

Business insurance is often unfortunately overlooked and it may be required in some trades.

The two main types of business insurance are:

1. Professional Indemnity Insurance
2. Public Liability Insurance

Professional Indemnity Insurance

This insurance in not required by UK law but it is usually suggested for certain professions to cover them for any mistakes they may make in their professional advice or service, resulting in financial losses to their client.

Public Liability Insurance

Also not required by UK law but is recommended for any public interactions from the business, even including clients visiting your business premises or home office. This policy is set to cover you for personal injury to somebody or damage to property when carrying out work.
