Being a Director / business owner, you have a responsibility and duty to pay your employees on time and inform HMRC how much they have been paid for that period, which could be: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
From salaries to pensions to P45’s, we at MTD can support you through every step of the process and inform you of what you are required to do.
The UK operates an automatic enrolment for its pension schemes whereby you as an employer are required to enrol your staff into a pension after 3 months of them working for you. There are a variety of pension providers out there that are applicable to different businesses and budgets.
MTD would be happy to recommend a suitable pension provider based on your requirements and budget.
Payment for the month can take different forms, from Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) to Statutory Maternity Pay and Furlough. For each period you will need to ensure the correct calculation is made and submitted to HMRC on time.
As an employee leaves your business, you are obligated to issue a P45 detailing how much you have paid that employee for the tax year they have worked with you.
Please get in touch if this is something you would like to know more about and how MTD can take care of all this for you.
